Osmosis and Tonicity for ESL ELL. Teaching osmosis and tonicity can be difficult but teaching it to ESL ELL students adds an extra challenge. These notes and worksheet keep to the basics of this topic. Students first learn what osmosis is and then how osmosis works in different solutions (tonicity). One set of notes contains minimal translation (for understanding) but the majority is in English as these students need to learn the English vocabulary used. A second set of notes can have any language translation added. The majority of the PowerPoint is not editable, only the animated portions can be edited. Student notes follow the PowerPoint. A worksheet and key are included.
