We believe it is important for our students to know the history behind celebrations and traditions.  That’s why we created this lesson on Cinco de Mayo and its origins.

This PowerPoint presentation will share with students the history of the Battle of Puebla as well as show how that historical event is celebrated in Mexico, compared with how it is celebrated in the United States.

While presenting students with the lesson, they will have the opportunity to take notes.  We have three differentiated versions to meet the needs of all of your students.  

Beginner – fill in the blank/drawing pictures

Intermediate – fill in the blank/drawing and labeling

Advanced – Open ended questions / Compare and contrast

Creemos que es importante que nuestros estudiantes sepan la historia de varias celebraciones y tradiciones.  Por eso, creamos esta lección sobre el Cinco de Mayo y sus comienzos. 

Esta presentación de PowerPoint les enseñará la historia de la Batalla de Puebla.  También mostrará cómo se celebra la batalla en México y los Estados Unidos.

Mientras ven la lección, los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de tomar notas en una hoja consumable. Hay tres versiones que ellos pueden usar dependiendo del nivel de apoyo que necesitan:
