Have ESL students practice working Punnett squares for Mendelian genetics (complete dominance) in monohybrid crosses using their own traits!
Students use the characteristic chart provided to determine their own genotypes from their phenotypes. They then work Punnett squares to determine what their offspring’s traits may be depending on who they are crossed with. Students have fun imagining what their future children may look like.
Seven traits are used.
Three versions included: Beginner level, intermediate/advanced level, and one to add your own translations.
